Bedlam Farms Organic
- Location: Deal, Kent

Bedlam Farms Organic, previously known as HolmSelect, emerged from the union of two family-owned farming companies – M.F. Martin Ltd and Bedlam Farms. Both have been at the forefront of agriculture in the Cambridgeshire Fens for four generations. In 2006, Clive Martin decided to convert one-third of the farm to specialise in organic vegetable production, starting with Organic Asparagus and expanding to a diverse range of produce available year-round.
In 2021, Clive’s son Tobias joined the farm after a successful sales career in London. He is now involved in all aspects of the business, focusing on further developing the Bedlam Farms Organic brand.
All produce at Bedlam Farms Organic is grown and packed on-site to the highest standards, certified by Organic Farmers & Growers. The farm prides itself on offering fresh, sustainably grown vegetables that travel no further than one mile from field to packhouse!

The farm benefits from a variety of soil types, allowing crops to thrive in their preferred conditions. Dedicated to soil health, the farm nurtures its land to produce robust plants with strong resistance to pests and diseases. Reservoirs and an underground main system ensure crops are well-watered during dry summers.
Bedlam Farms Organic boasts a dedicated and highly skilled team trained in modern organic growing techniques and the latest harvesting and packing machinery. All produce is processed in the farm’s packhouse, where it is assessed and packed.
The farm is deeply committed to environmental stewardship and sustainability, participating in the Higher Level Stewardship and Organic Entry Level Stewardship Schemes, and holding a LEAF marque registration. It is also part of the Red Tractor Assurance Scheme. Bedlam Farms Organic has engaged in various sustainability projects with customers and recently committed to a 25-year pond project with FWAG East and Natural England to enhance previously unused woodland areas for Great Crested Newts. The farm values its employees, providing training and guidance to maximise job satisfaction.
From late February’s first picks of purple sprouting broccoli to the end of the Tenderstem® broccoli season, mid-November, the dedicated team at Bedlam Farms Organic are in the fields most days. A small team remains over the winter for the Kalette harvest. Produce is rapidly cooled in high-humidity coolers within 15 minutes of leaving the field, significantly extending shelf life. Mixed squash is harvested into wooden crates and dried and cured in a dedicated squash store for long-term storage of certain varieties.
