Annabel’s Deliciously British
- Location: Micklefield, Yorkshire

Annabel Makin-Jones began her journey into premium strawberry cultivation while at university, partnering with her father on their family farm in the heart of Yorkshire. Their dedication to quality quickly earned them a reputation for excellence, supplying top restaurants and retailers with the finest UK strawberries.
Over a decade later, Annabel founded Annabel’s Deliciously British, a brand dedicated to producing exquisite products for those who value taste and provenance. At Annabel’s Deliciously British, sustainability and local sourcing are as crucial as the quality of their produce. They believe in a better future for British farmers, producers, and consumers, championing dynamic growers who follow trends, meet consumer demands, and innovate to fill market gaps.
Annabel’s Deliciously British strawberries are known for their exceptional taste and appearance, grown from May to October on their meticulously managed family farm in West Yorkshire. The team select strawberry varieties based on season, weather, and flavour, ensuring only the best make it to market with a planting schedule spanning five months to maintain a consistent supply.
Committed to carbon neutrality, zero waste, and year-round productivity, the business repurposes waste for botanicals and preserves, and utilises their packaging supplier’s anaerobic digester to create biodegradable punnets and trays powered by strawberry energy. Rainwater plays a crucial role, with their 25-million-gallon lake supporting everything from insects to strawberry crops. They prioritize sourcing inputs from Great Britain and hold LEAF, BRC, and Red Tractor accreditations.
Their commitment extends beyond farming; they support elderly, vulnerable, and disadvantaged individuals in the UK. For every product sold, a contribution is made to the Prince’s Trust, aiding young people in gaining employment, education, and training opportunities.
